We have developed a racing transmission for the Caterham 7 that no longer requires the removal of the engine to service the gearbox or clutch.

This is the ONLY racing transmission designed specifically for the SEVEN and features:

 

Quick release billet aluminium construction

6 speed sequential gearbox – semi-automatic or manual
Paddle shift ready with integral air actuator

Formula 1 supplier dog engagement gear train technology
Engine remains in situ for all gearbox and clutch servicing

Changeable drop gears for quick overall gearing adjustment

Removable gear train cassette to enable easy ratio changing on the bench

Hydraulic concentric clutch release bearing

Infinite range of bell housings and input shafts to suit any engine

Individually tailored and hand built to each customer requirement

Improved weight distribution as the engine can be moved upto 50mm rearwards

The development is at the stage were the prototype has been designed, manufactured and built ready for test in a car.

We are looking for a like minded individual to be involved in the continued development and marketing of the project. 

Ideally this would mean showcasing the product in the Magnificent Seven Race Series.

 

Confidential offers are being invited for 25% to 75% of this project.

 

As a guide to potential volumes Caterham are producing over 600 cars per annum.

The market area could cover much more than the Caterham market as it could be used in many RWD applications with upto 350bhp.
